‘I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: we can’t eat money or drink oil.’

Water is life-giving. We all know a person can only survive for a few days without water, and when water is unclean it makes people sick. But did you know that water is conscious and living? Since water comprises 70 percent of our bodies and the earth, our relationship with it is paramount.

Japanese scientist Dr. Masaru Emoto photographed water crystals. He found that kind, positive words formed beautiful crystals. When unkind words were spoken, the water formed irregular crystals and became murky. All thoughts and intentions carry vibration and frequency.

Water retains memory from its environment, both positive and negative. The indigenous people know this truth. Native American cultures have a deep respect and friendship with the water around them.

They talk to the water and give it prayers. They sing a song called The Water Song which is a tribute to the water. Water is an integral part of their ceremonies.

This wisdom about water is known to the indigenous Africans religions. The Africans brought this wisdom with them when forced to leave their country because of the slave trade.

The African slaves were forced to modify their native religions to blend in with the dominant religion of the area where they landed. But despite that, their indigenous religions survived. In Brazil and Cuba African deities and religious customs survived in ways they did not in other parts of the Americas.

In New Orleans the slaves had to modify their Vodou (meaning God or Spirit) practices in the predominately Catholic society they were forced to join. Practitioners of Vodou cleverly used Catholic elements, including saints, prayers, and holy water, to appear as if they were conforming. Instead, they were keeping their ancestor communication, plant medicine, and root work hiding in plain sight through Catholic rituals.

In African religion, water is seen as sacred. There are water goddesses and water guardians who protect rivers, streams, and oceans. Practitioners know how to work with the goddesses and guardians and receive blessings through them.

It is believed by some African indigenous tribes that there are people who come from the Marine Kingdom where water guardians live and choose to come on land and live as humans. They believe these water people can been seen by those who know how to see them.

The water in our lives vibrates and responds to our thoughts, feelings, and intentions. Many cultures and religions pray before eating and drinking to bless and raise the vibration of the food and water.

Everything has vibration, even inanimate objects.  Gaia vibrates at 7.83 hertz (Hz), the human body at 7.5 Hz, and the Universe is thought to vibrate at 432 Hz. All creatures that call Earth home vibrate.

All water is precious! Our planet and all life depend on it. Everything vibrates. There is nothing outside of the universal vibrational field. Our thoughts and intentions influence the quantum field, whether we realize it or not.

Therefore, everything responds to our thoughts and intentions. Through this lens, everything can be seen as receptive, pliable, and sacred.

The next time your negative thoughts, attitudes, and actions cause your vibrational level to crash, think about the impact it will have on the world around you through the water in your body and everywhere else.

Think more positively and imagine the wonderful change that will occur in your quantum field. Love the water in your life and it will surely love you back!

What role does water play in your life – and how do you appreciate it?
